EGADI BOAT FROM MARSALA TO FAVIGNANA WITH LUNCH AND APERITIF

5.0 (1 verified reviews)

About This Experience

Triscovery's Marsala day is built around the meal. Lunch is not a snack plate served under way: the boat lands you on Favignana and you eat a pane cunzato made by the operator's own bakers, with farm-sourced ingredients, water and IGT wine.

The day starts at 09:00 at the Porto Turistico di Marsala with a 09:15 departure. The first stop is Bue Marino, where the seabed drops away and the marine life makes it the best diving and snorkelling of the morning. Cala Rossa follows — flat rocks, clear water, and the cliffs and old tuff quarries that frame it.

Then the boat puts in at Favignana harbour. The town is small enough to take in on foot: the tonnara, and the archaeological museum inside the former Palazzo Florio, are both within a short walk of the quay. Lunch is here.

An Italian aperitif, snorkelling masks, drinks, the landing tax, the fuel levy and the skipper are all in the price — an unusually complete inclusion list for the Marsala side. It is a newer listing with one review so far, so treat the track record accordingly.

What Travelers Say

Rated 5.0/5 by 1 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

A perfect day at the Egadi Islands I picked this experience for the tour from Marsala and I was really happy with it The visit to Favignana and its beautiful coves, as well as the stop in Levanzo, were perfectly organized. Our skipper Giacomo wasn't just a great local expert, but also a super friendly and helpful guy, always ready to answer all our questions. I really appreciated that we had plenty of time to swim and check out the seabed. To make the experience even more enjoyable, we had an aperitif and lunch with street food and pane cunzato, which we enjoyed on the boat in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended to everyone!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is pane cunzato?

A Sicilian filled bread — traditionally with tomato, cheese, anchovy and oregano. On this tour it is baked by the operator's own bakers with farm-sourced ingredients, and it is the meal rather than a snack.

Are there any fees to pay on the day?

No. The landing tax and the fuel levy are both in the ticket price, which is worth comparing against tours that collect a €5 marine-park fee or a €20 skipper fee at the quay.

What time does it leave?

09:00 meeting at the Porto Turistico di Marsala for a 09:15 departure. The operator asks you to call the day before to confirm the exact boarding point, and to arrive early because marina parking is tight.

Can they cater for food intolerances?

Yes, but you must tell them before departure — lunch is prepared in advance rather than to order.

Does it go to Levanzo?

This itinerary concentrates on Favignana. If you want both islands from Marsala, the nine-hour shared tour with swimming stops covers Levanzo as well.
