From Trapani: Full-Day Sailboat Trip to Favignana & Levanzo
About This Experience
This is the only sailboat on the Trapani–Egadi route, and it is a genuinely different day. A motorboat treats the crossing as transit to be got through; a sailboat treats it as part of the trip. If the idea of eight hours under canvas appeals more than eight hours of engine noise, this is the one.
MareandMore's skipper sets out for Favignana and works round the island's headline water: Cala Rossa first, with enough marine life to make it the best snorkel of the day, then Bue Marino beneath the tuff caves, then Cala Azzurra. The boat docks at Favignana port for about an hour ashore in the whitewashed village.
The afternoon crosses to Levanzo and lands at Cala Fredda, where you can snorkel, dive from the boat, or simply lie on the sand. The run home follows the Levanzo coast before turning back for Trapani.
Included are the skipper-guide, bottled water, snorkelling equipment and fuel — this is a leaner inclusion list than the RIB tours, with no aperitif and no lunch. At $134 per person it is the most expensive per-seat shared option from Trapani, and what you are paying for is the boat, not the catering.

A very nice and well-organized experience at the harbor and on board. A relaxed atmosphere on board, with space for every need. A distinguishing element was the presence of Federico, an expert navigator and guide, who was able to manage people with kindness, politeness, and culture. Fantastic experience at sea with 4 stops for snorkeling and a lunch break on Favignana. Excellent guidance from Federico, who explained the area to us and made our day pleasant. Does it actually sail, or is it a motorboat with a mast?
It sails when the wind allows, which is most summer days on this stretch. Expect a slower, quieter crossing than the RIBs — that is the point of booking it.
